Working to Support YourFamily’s Goals

about-me

Supporting Your Child (and You) Where They’re At

After years of trying unsuccessfully to support social skills in children with autism, we figured that there had to be a better way. Our approach comes from over 15 years of working with children, adolescents, and young adults with neurocognitive differences, including individuals who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to communicate. In using this approach, we don’t focus on teaching social skills or changing behaviors to confirm to the “norm”. Instead, we target understanding social relationships from a cognitive level. We take a deep dive into learning about an individual client’s social cognitive profile and provide an individualized approach to target those skills that are important to the client and their family with the ultimate goal of supporting social success.
